{"id":1016,"date":"2021-01-17T13:03:42","date_gmt":"2021-01-17T18:03:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/?p=1016"},"modified":"2021-01-17T13:03:42","modified_gmt":"2021-01-17T18:03:42","slug":"amish-cinnamon-bread","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/?p=1016","title":{"rendered":"Amish Cinnamon Bread"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><u>Ingredients<\/u>:<\/b><br \/>\n<b>Batter:<\/b><br \/>\n1 cup butter, softened<br \/>\n2 cups sugar<br \/>\n2 eggs<br \/>\n2 cups buttermilk or 2 cups milk plus 2 tablespoons vinegar or lemon juice<br \/>\n4 cups flour<br \/>\n2 teaspoons baking soda<br \/>\nGenerous pinch of salt<\/p>\n<p><b>Filling:<\/b><br \/>\n2\/3 cups sugar<br \/>\n2 teaspoons cinnamon<\/p>\n<p><b><u>Directions<\/u>:<\/b><br \/>\nCream together butter, 2 cups of sugar, and eggs. Add milk, flour, and baking soda.<br \/>\nPut 1\/2 of batter (or a little less) into greased loaf pans (1\/4 in each pan). Mix in separate bowl the 2\/3 c sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle 3\/4 of cinnamon mixture on top of the 1\/2 batter in each pan.<br \/>\nAdd remaining batter to pans; sprinkle with last of cinnamon topping.
