{"id":1133,"date":"2021-09-20T12:56:09","date_gmt":"2021-09-20T16:56:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/?p=1133"},"modified":"2021-09-20T12:56:09","modified_gmt":"2021-09-20T16:56:09","slug":"cinnamon-roll-cake-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/?p=1133","title":{"rendered":"Cinnamon Roll Cake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><u>Ingredients<\/u>:<\/b><br \/>\n<b>For the Cake:<\/b><br \/>\n3 cups all-purpose flour<br \/>\n1 cup white granulated sugar<br \/>\n4 teaspoon baking powder<br \/>\n2 large eggs<br \/>\n2 teaspoon vanilla extract<br \/>\n1 \u00bd cups milk<br \/>\n\u00bd cup salted butter (1 stick) melted<\/p>\n<p><b>Cinnamon Filling:<\/b><br \/>\n\u00be cup (1 \u00bd sticks) salted butter softened to room temp<br \/>\n1 cup packed light brown sugar<br \/>\n2 tablespoon flour<br \/>\n1 tablespoon ground cinnamon<\/p>\n<p><b>Glaze:<\/b><br \/>\n2 cups powdered sugar<br \/>\n5 tablespoon milk<br \/>\n1 teaspoon vanilla extract<\/p>\n<p><b><u>Directions<\/u>:<\/b><br \/>\n<b>Cake:<\/b><br \/>\nPreheat oven to 350F degrees. Spray 9 x 13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray (I like the kind that has flour in it.) In a large bowl (or the bowl of your stand mixer), combine ingredients for cake (except melted butter).<br \/>\nWhile your mixer is running, slowly add the \u00bd cup melted butter. Mix just until combined (overmixing flour in baked goods can make it tough and rubbery.)<br \/>\nSpread this batter evenly into your baking dish.<\/p>\n<p><b>Filling:<\/b><br \/>\nIn a small bowl, combine all your filling ingredients: softened butter, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon. Stir until combined well.<br \/>\nDrop the cinnamon filling by spoonfuls onto the cake batter.<br \/>\nTake a butter knife and make swirly, marble-effect patterns all around the cake.
