{"id":1158,"date":"2021-09-30T19:38:11","date_gmt":"2021-09-30T23:38:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/?p=1158"},"modified":"2021-09-30T19:38:11","modified_gmt":"2021-09-30T23:38:11","slug":"banana-pudding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/?p=1158","title":{"rendered":"Banana Pudding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><u>Ingredients<\/u>:<\/b><br \/>\n1 Ripe banana ; sliced thin<br \/>\n30 Vanilla wafer cookies ; divided use<br \/>\n1 cup Sugar<br \/>\n4 tablespoon Flour<br \/>\npinch salt<br \/>\n3 Egg yolk<br \/>\n2 1\/4 cups Milk ; divided use<br \/>\n2 tablespoon Butter<br \/>\n1 teaspoon Vanilla<\/p>\n<p><b><u>Directions<\/u>:<\/b><br \/>\nMix together in a medium sauce pan:<br \/>\nSugar<br \/>\nFlour<br \/>\nSalt<br \/>\nEgg yolks<br \/>\nAdd enough milk to make a paste. Then, add 2 cups of milk and the butter and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until you get a pudding consistancy. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.<br \/>\nAssemble in the bottom of a bowl or 8 x 8 baking dish:<br \/>\n10 cookies on the bottom and about one third of the banana on top of the cookies.<br \/>\nPour 1\/3 of the pudding mixture over the bananas.<br \/>\nRepeat layers two more times and garnish the top with some additonal vanilla wafers, if desired.
