{"id":135,"date":"2014-09-21T15:04:12","date_gmt":"2014-09-21T15:04:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/?p=135"},"modified":"2014-09-21T15:04:12","modified_gmt":"2014-09-21T15:04:12","slug":"hot-cocoa-cake-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/?p=135","title":{"rendered":"Hot Cocoa Cake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/hot-cocoa-cake-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-136\" src=\"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/hot-cocoa-cake-2.jpg\" alt=\"hot-cocoa-cake-2\" width=\"256\" height=\"256\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/hot-cocoa-cake-2.jpg 256w, https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/hot-cocoa-cake-2-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/hot-cocoa-cake-2-200x200.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 256px) 100vw, 256px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>HOT COCOA CAKE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2 sticks margarine; divided use<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1\/2 cup vegetable oil<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>5 1\/2 Tablespoons Cocoa; divided use<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 cup water<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2 cups sugar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2 cups flour<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1\/2 cup buttermilk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2 eggs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 teaspoon baking soda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 teaspoon cinnamon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2 teaspoon vanilla; divided use<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>6 Tablespoons milk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2 cups powdered sugar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 cup pecans &#8211; chopped or broken in half<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preparation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Melt and bring to a boil:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 stick margarine<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1\/2 cup oil<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>3 tbsp. cocoa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 cup water<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mix with above:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2 cups sugar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2 cups flour<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Add to the above mixture:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1\/2 cup buttermilk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2 eggs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 tsp. soda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 tsp. cinnamon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 tsp. vanilla<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mix all the above together in a large mixing bowl. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
