{"id":247,"date":"2015-03-18T23:46:15","date_gmt":"2015-03-18T23:46:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/?p=247"},"modified":"2015-03-18T23:46:15","modified_gmt":"2015-03-18T23:46:15","slug":"ground-beef-curry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/?p=247","title":{"rendered":"Ground Beef Curry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/pic0uLa3E.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/pic0uLa3E-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"pic0uLa3E\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-248\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon cooking oil<br \/>\n1 lb lean ground beef<br \/>\n1\u20442green pepper, chopped<br \/>\n1 cup chopped onion<br \/>\n2 garlic cloves, minced<br \/>\n2 tablespoons flour<br \/>\n2 tablespoons curry powder<br \/>\n1 1\u20442 cups beef broth<br \/>\n1 1\u20444 cups tomato juice<br \/>\n1 (14 ounce) can chickpeas, rinsed and drained<br \/>\n1 1\u20442 cups diced tomatoes<br \/>\n1 1\u20444 cups frozen peas, thawed<br \/>\n1\u20444 teaspoon salt<br \/>\n1\u20442-1 teaspoon chili paste<br \/>\n1\u20442 cup light plain yogurt<br \/>\nchopped fresh parsley<\/p>\n<p>Directions:<\/p>\n<p>Heat cooking oil in large frying pan on medium. Add ground beef, green pepper and onion. Scramble fry for about 10 minutes until beef is no longer pink. Drain.<br \/>\nAdd garlic. Heat and stir for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.<br \/>\nAdd flour and curry powder. Heat and stir for 1 minute.<br \/>\nSlowly add broth, stirring constantly. Add tomato juice and chickpeas. Stir until boiling. Boil gently, uncovered, for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.<br \/>\nAdd next 4 ingredients. Stir. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until peas are heated through. Remove from heat.<br \/>\nAdd yogurt. Stir well.
