{"id":268,"date":"2015-04-08T02:14:42","date_gmt":"2015-04-08T02:14:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/?p=268"},"modified":"2015-04-08T02:14:42","modified_gmt":"2015-04-08T02:14:42","slug":"roman-holiday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/?p=268","title":{"rendered":"Roman Holiday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1 lb. ground beef<\/p>\n<p>1\/3 cup finely diced onion<\/p>\n<p>1\/3 cup finely diced bell pepper<\/p>\n<p>2-3 minced garlic cloves<\/p>\n<p>1 small can tomato sauce<\/p>\n<p>salt and pepper to taste<\/p>\n<p>1 tbsp. flour<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 pound elbow macaroni (more or less to taste) cooked until al dente<\/p>\n<p>8 ounces grated sharp cheddar cheese<\/p>\n<p>Brown ground beef with\u00a0onion, bell pepper\u00a0and salt and pepper. Add garlic and cook for about 3 more minutes on medium heat. Add tomato sauce and cook on low simmer for 10 minutes. If mixture seems too soupy, add the flour a little at a time, stirring and simmering until it becomes a little thicker.<\/p>\n<p>Pour meat mixture into a casserole dish. Pour pasta over meat.
