{"id":809,"date":"2019-02-12T14:54:40","date_gmt":"2019-02-12T19:54:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/?p=809"},"modified":"2019-02-12T14:56:47","modified_gmt":"2019-02-12T19:56:47","slug":"smoked-sausage-chili","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cookbook.maynardfolks.com\/?p=809","title":{"rendered":"Smoked Sausage Chili"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>1lb lean ground beef<\/li><li>1lb ground pork<\/li><li>1lb smoked sausage sliced and halved<\/li><li>2-3 Tbsp olive oil<\/li><li>2 Tbsp cumin<\/li><li>2 Tbsp chili powder<\/li><li>1 Tbsp garlic powder<\/li><li>1 medium onion diced<\/li><li>3 cloves of garlic minced<\/li><li>1\/4 to 1 hot chile pepper minced, seeds removed<\/li><li>Juice of 1 lime<\/li><li>1 12oz dark beer<\/li><li>2 15oz cans tomato sauce<\/li><li>1 can diced tomatoes<\/li><li>1 can rotel<\/li><li>1 cup spicy V8 tomato juice<\/li><li>1\/2 cup medium pace picante sauce<\/li><li>1 can pinto beans drained and rinsed<\/li><li>1 can kidney beans drained and rinsed<\/li><li>1 package sweet corn frozen<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Directions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In a large pot, heat up olive oil, then saute diced onion for 2-3 mins, then add minced garlic and saute for another min or 2, and season with salt and pepper<\/li><li>Add in ground beef and pork and cook until brown, drain if desired, season with more salt and pepper and garlic powder<\/li><li>Add in minced pepper and chopped sausage along with the chili powder, cumin, and lime juice cook for 2-3 mins allowing flavors to meld<\/li><li>Deglaze pan with dark beer, and add in all ingredients except for the corn.
