Old Fashioned Pot Roast in a Crock Pot

Ingredients:

3 pound Chuck roast; or Arm roast
3 medium Potatoes; whole – leave peelings on
3 medium Carrots; Cut in 2 inch pieces or 1 cup miniature carrots
3 stalks Celery; cut in two inch pieces
1 medium Onion; quartered
1/2 Bell pepper; cut in pieces – optional
1/3 cup Water
3 tablespoon Kitchen Bouquet
1 tablespoon Lipton Onion Soup Mix
1/2 teaspoon Granulated garlic
1 teaspoon Dried basil
1 teaspoon Dried parsley

Directions:

Arrange vegetables in the bottom of the crock pot and top them with the roast. Add the water. Pour Kitchen Bouquet on top of the meat to coat it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining spices on top of the meat. Cover and cook on low for 7 hours.
