Slow Cooked Spaghetti Sauce

INGREDIENTS
1 pound ground beef or bulk Italian sausage
1 medium onion ; chopped
2 28-oz cans diced tomatoes ; undrained
2 6-oz cans tomato paste
1 bay leaf
1 tablespoon Brown sugar
1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp Louisiana hot sauce
6 garlic Cloves
1 teaspoon dried basil ; (up to 2 teaspoons)
1 teaspoon dried oregano ; (up to 2 teaspoons)
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme ; (up to 1 teaspoon)


INSTRUCTIONS

In a skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink: drain. Transfer to a slow cooker. Add the next 11 ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours. Discard bay leaf. Serve over spaghetti. Yield:6-8 servings
