Ingredients:
1 lb. lean ground meat
1 onion chopped
Garlic minced (to taste)
1/3 Bell Pepper diced (optional)
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce or a 11 oz. can of V-8 juice
1 can Italian stewed tomatoes
1 tsp. Oregano
1 tsp. Basil
1 Tbsp. parsley
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire (optional)
2-3 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1 1/2 cup pasta (elbows, shells, whatever you like) cooked al dente, drained and rinsed with cold water
Procedure:
Brown ground meat with onion, garlic and bell pepper. Drain fat and return to the pan. Add tomato sauce and stewed tomatoes, spices and Worcestershire sauce and bring ingredients to a low simmer. Add pasta, salt and pepper to taste. Bring mixture back to a simmer and then remove from heat. Top with Parmesan cheese when finished, allowing it to melt.
You can also make the meat mixture similar to a chili with Mexican spices and top with cheddar cheese.
